Residential building Veda Resort is located on a lively metropolitan boulevard, in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods of Sofia - Manastirski livadi. The concept of the building aims to personify the city dynamics and create a visual image that logically fits into the already existing architectural rhythm of its surroundings. The building includes modern living areas, as well as public services on the ground floor to provide high comfort of living and practical amenities for the residents of the region.
The Veda Resort building has a unique presence, relying on a high ten-story structure and visual concepts to achieve a vibrant image. This helps the building to be perceived as a dynamic structure by fast-moving cars in the surrounding area and as an imposing, memorable building by pedestrians.
Vega Resort is a residential building with two separate entrances, combining public service functions on the ground level and 90 homes spread on 10 floors. It houses one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and public areas including shops and a restaurant.
A challenge in the design of the building is the balanced combination of public and residential areas, developed to function as well as possible, and have good access to light. This sets a prerequisite for the selection of full glazing to allow sunlight into the premises. The high glazing also creates a foundation for the construction of the specific facade solution.
It is the dynamic facade that is one of the directions of the architectural concept. Although completed with standard materials - plaster combined with decorative joints, the visual and layout create a strong presence of the building in its surroundings. The choice of the color white to create a dynamic contour of the glazing and balconies helps to achieve a bright visual contrast. The rhythm of the contours comes to the forefront and dominates the overall composition. It is what successfully creates the dynamics pursued by the architects.
