IPA - Architecture and more partnered with Bosch to design a Multifunctional Hub within the Synergy tower Sofia. Initially designed as a conference room, the space was reimagined to serve as s dynamic hub for innovation and interaction.
The hall’s concept centers around the idea of a “living lab”, where visitors are active participants rather than passive observers, engaging directly with the workspace and its technologies. Designed for flexibility, the hall seamlessly adapts to various purposes, from showcasing new ideas to hosting collaborative activities.
The hall’s 6.70-meter ceiling height allowed the integration of an intermediate level, supported by a metal structure at level +3.30 m, accessible via a vertical platform elevator and metal stairs.
The central area serves as a versatile space for events, info-sessions, and media visits. A bike track along the southwest and northwest facades facilitates E-bike testing. Adjacent to the track, an exhibition area includes a demonstration space for a test car. In the northwest corner, a Photo/ Video Corner doubles as a co-working zone, while a nearby VR Experience hall offers a separate space for immersive activities. Additional co-working and meeting areas are strategically positioned throughout the level to encourage collaboration and diverse use.
The upper level is designed as an exhibition hall, with interactive and display areas extending along the glass façade. Two dedicated meeting rooms are also located on this level, offering additional flexibility.
The entire space is designed according to Bosch's brand principles, emphasizing high quality and innovation. Its dynamic and flexible design allows for easy reconfiguration, incorporating elements such as modular exhibition units, wire mesh structures with screens, interactive displays and tables.
Continuous LED lighting highlights the space, while accent colors inspired by the Bosch logo, combined with materials like sheet metal, exposed concrete, mesh, and LED screens, create a sleek industrial aesthetic. Minimalistic, movable furniture enhances versatility, allowing the space to accommodate a wide range of uses and configurations.
